The State Election Commission today will run tests on the system designed to cross-check data, and from tomorrow will begin the procedures for cleansing the Voter’s Lists. Subhi Jakupi, a member of the SEC informed the public that from the provided data from 10 relevant institutions they will make an assessment which will last a few days, and then be followed up by a test-run in the field so as to verify it works.
“Tomorrow we will start by cross-checking the data and then see how many disputed names appear on the list. We are doing our utmost to finish our work, because we have a deadline for when it is required to be prepared” said Jakupi.
Three IT companies will undertake the cross-checking of the data, two of the companies are Macedonian, while the third is from the USA. At this point in time there are 1,804,000 voters registered on the Electoral Roll, however, we will know the exact figure after the cleansing of the lists.
