Three migrants from Sudan were found hiding among goods in a truck undergoing customs clearance in Skopje. According to the country’s Customs Administration, officers at the Skopje Customs Office discovered the three individuals during a detailed inspection of goods declared for import customs clearance.
The goods, originating from China, had been loaded at the port of Thessaloniki, Greece, after which the truck was sealed with a Greek customs seal. The three individuals broke the cable in the front section of the truck’s cargo area and hid among the boxes.
“This is the fourth case in which illegal migrants have been discovered in the past three months. They have been handed over to the Ministry of Interior,” the Customs Administration said.
