The three new pay tolls will be built with a loan in the amount of 15,3 million euros

The tender for building new pay tolls and the introduction of electronic payments along the Corridor 8 and the highway between Miladinovci – Shtip has officially been put out.

With a loan in the amount of 15.3 million euros through the European Band for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) the pay tolls named as Kadrifakovo and Preod will be built including the pay toll Arbinovo.

The loan will be used for the introduction of a new electronic payments at the following pay tolls: Miladinovci, Glumovo, Zelino, Tetovo and Gostivar between Skopje and Gostivar which will allow the drivers to pay faster for this service with the use of an electronic card and a tag at all pay toll stations in the country. As it is stated in the tender issued by EBRD, the accomplishment of the agreement is expected to start on the 1st of October this year, and in a period of 12 months the three pay tolls to be built and the electronic payment to be applied.

Along with the public call for the tender for pay tolls at Corridor 8 these days the payment with an electric card and a tag will start at the highway along Corridor 10. After several delays, the drivers can now use the new way of payment for which 18.7 million euros were invested in. In total, the state has invested 34 million euros for the introduction of an electronic pay-toll payments system.
