The session at the Constitutional Court for the Amensty Law will be open to the public

-

The session at the Constitutional Court scheduled for Wednesday (March 16), where they will decide whether the President will have his right restored to pardon persons convicted of electoral fraud or keep the current Amnesty Law as it is, will be open to the public, said the Constitutional Court to “Meta”.

“The Court has always been open to the public. The session, like all previous ones, will be open to the public and all interested journalists will be able to follow the session”, say the Constitutional Court.

They also added there when it will be time for the judges to vote, the public will be excluded.

“ When the judges raise their hands to vote, then the public will be excluded and it has been this way for 52 years, and then the decision is announced”, we were told by the Constitutional Court.

The Initiative to pardon persons involved in electoral fraud came from a young lawyer from Ohrid called Risto Kiteski who works in a law firm who defends suspects in Operation “Titatinic”.

The Constitutional Court’s decision to accept the initiative caused an outcry among the public, experts, protests in front of the court building, and even diplomats in the country reacted.
