Vladimir Taleski, the mayor of Bitola renewed himself by buying a new car from the municipality of Bitola’s budget. Only a few months before the end of his third mandate, Taleski has replaced the municipal “Citroen C4” with “Peugeot 508,” but there aren’t any precise data about how much money was spent on the new vehicle.

LDP’s advisor, Valentin Gruevski, the past Friday, speaking from the advisory speaker board accused that the budget in 2016 consisted of “a list of wishes made by mayor Vladimir Taleski.”

-What do the numbers tell about this year? Bitola has one of the two worst budgets in the last seven years. Bitola has the worst realization of capital expenditures of 40%. Bitola has a realization of only 11% of tax incomes. The only thing that has a 100% accomplishment in this explanation is car purchase. Now, Vladimir Taleski is driving in a new car – said Gruevski during the hearing for the execution of the municipality of Bitola’s budget for the third quarter of the current year.

The mayor’s services that are in charge of the budget, state that the three cars that Taleski has purchased are not news because they were procured several months ago and that the opposition party has brought the issue to the fore now.

The coordinator of VMRO-DPMNE’s advisory board Igor Hadziev said that he didn’t know how much the new “Peugeot” costs, but that the Council has voted for a purchase of the car.

-If the budget had an item for a new car, we have put it for a vote and have voted it, and how much is the car, it’s an information that only the municipality’s service know about – said Hadziev.
