Tomorrow at the European House in Skopje, the Association of Journalists of Macedonia – AJM, and the Council Media Ethics of Macedonia – CMEM, will be presenting the results of the creation of a registry of professional online media.
The process of the registry creation was joined by the Economic Chamber of Macedonia.
“The procedure was developed according to criteria that were adjusted among CMEM and AJM and was based upon practices seen in developed democratic societies and the Council of Europe. The journalist, media and business community in the state were also consulted. The goal of the collaboration with the Economic chamber was to ease the access to advertising for the business community at professional online media against those that do not meet the criteria for membership and regularly violate ethical standards” wrote the press release.
The professional online media registry is expected to help the general public to recognize which media meet the stated criteria and are adhering to the standards of ethical reporting in their work.
