The Government will help orchard farmers and will stop NGO funding

During yesterday’s eight session, the Government has made two decisions i.e. to help the producers of peaches that are protesting the low prices of purchase as well as to abolish the decision of the former Government for granting assets to NGOs.

At the session yesterday, the previous Government’s General Secretary’s decision to finance associations and foundations with assets from the budget in the amount of 50 million of denars or 850.000 euros. The General Secretary was engaged to take all necessary measures to stop the procedure for allocation of assets from the budget for these associations and foundations.

Several decisions about ELEM’s new tender were made in the amount of 34 million euros and it was decided to be abolished. It’s a tender for acquiring new equipment for digging out gangue, and the Government has ordered ELEM’s Supervision Board to abolish the decision for the procurement and to be notified about it.

At the same time, the ministers were order to declassify all information concerning offical travels and representations that were filed as classified by their previous collegues, and from now on these information will be made public, unless it is about information that have to remain classified as imposed by law.
