During its seventh session, the Government has made a decision to award the personnel behind the documentary film Honeyland and they shall be awarded financially with 3 million denars (50.000 euros) for their international success.
Honeyland was nominated for Oscar award in two categories: for a best documentary and foreign film. Even though it wasn’t awarded, the film achieved a planetary success because of the subject that it treats i.e. the human greed and the devastating effect people have on the environment which in return have caused climate changes and global warming.
So far, the film has won 32 awards and has had 48 nominations.
