No vaccination, no school, decides the Government

-

At today’s 135th session, the government decided that all schools should only enroll children that are vaccinated and have the appropriate documentation/confirmation.

-All schools must accept applications including unvaccinated children but they won’t be enrolled until submitting suitable document/vaccination certificate – informs the government.

Until recently, Government ministers were issuing contrary statements about the necessity of this measure.

-I’m not backing down from my stance that all children must be vaccinated including those attending kindergarten and those who are enrolling in the first grade, said today Minister of Health Venko Filipche.

This followed after the statement issued by his colleague, Minister of Education Arber Ademi, who said that even unvaccinated children should enroll in the first grade.

The total number of vaccinated children up to the age of 14 years with an MRP vaccine since the start of the epidemics is 24.023 persons.

In Skopje, the number of vaccinated children is 13.684 out of 16.361 unvaccinated children. In other parts of the country, the number of vaccinated children up to the age of 14 with an MRI vaccine is 10.339 children.

-Only with a rate of vaccination of 95% shall we provide collective immunity and the spread of the virus among the population will be prevented. Also, all health institutions cannot issue confirmations if the child hasn’t received the obligatory vaccines. Confirmation that is submitted with the enrollment of children in elementary schools are issued by health institutions that have vaccination centers and they are free – said the government.

After the government’s decision was published on the Ministry of Health’s Facebook page, all sorts of comments from parents and citizens appeared that ranged from approval to extreme disapproval of this measure.
