The Health Ministry of North Macedonia informs that in the past 24 hours 47 deaths of COVID-19 were reported in the country. “15 of them died in March in a private hospital and were reported today,” the press release of the ministry notes, without clarifying which private facility was so late with the reports.
The deceased patients were aged between 42 and 92, and most of them were from Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. Three of the patients died at home.
In the past 24 hours 2 865 tests were done and 627 new cases of COVID-19 were diagnosed. More than a third of them are from Skopje (218). In the same period, 765 people recovered.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in North Macedonia since the outbreak of the pandemic is 148 618, the number of the patients who recovered is 125 593 and the death toll is 4 556. The number of the active cases is 18 469, the Health Ministry reports.
