The Court lifts house arrest restrictions on Saveski and Kunovski

-

The Criminal Court had lifted house arrest restrictions on Levica party members, Zdravko Saveski and Vladimir Kunovski, who were accused of participating in the destruction of the National Office of President Gjorge Ivanov during the protests against the presidential pardons on April 13.

Kunovski leaving court today, clearly excited, on behalf of the Levica party thanked, what he called “the party who will bankrupt the VMRO-DPMNE,” because of the great marketing services they have provided. He also “thanked” the prosecution because they had given a “blatant example of double standards.”

“I would like to say that it is true that in Macedonia there is a security crisis, but only because the security services are used for personal purposes. During my arrest and the arrest of Zdravko Saveski, there were 12 members of the special police unit “Alfa” present”, said Kunovski.

The case against Saveski and Kunovski was postponed for the fourth time today because defense lawyers had objected to the reports provided by experts, which, according to them, had not been prepared in accordance with legal procedure.

The two Levica members have both been given warnings by the court, and as further precautionary measures, their passports will be confiscated, and will have to report on a regular basis to the court.
