The Council of Public Prosecutors at today’s session did not review the report from the Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva, because she was not present at the session, and the Council Chairman Peter Anevski, dismissed it as “unpleasant ” and “disrespectful behavior towards the institution.”
Mr Anevski said that Ms Janeva is obliged to come to the session among other things due to numerous ambiguities and problematic parts of the report, and that the Council members have many questions.
“Members of the Council of Public Prosecutors have jointly concluded that her presence is necessary due to its ambiguity in the report. Members are interested in the problems noted in the report and, therefore because of these reasons we would like to discuss the report on Wednesday”, said Mr Anevski.
He again called for the Special Prosecutor to attend Wednesday’s session, saying it is her duty, and that the Council of Public Prosecutors’s is an organ who she answers to regarding her professional and legal work.
