The Budget Will Delay The Dissolution of Parliament

-

Parliament it seems, will be not dissolve on October 12, on a different date, but no later than the 27th of this month, we learned from sources within Parliament. Determined by the rules

The first reason is that the parliamentary debate on the budget for 2017 has not yet been completed. The document is still under review by parliamentary committees and have yet to be put on the agenda of a plenary session, MPs will have five days to discuss the budget.

For the dissolution of Parliament, all what is needed, is an MP or parliamentary group to file a motion for dissolution, to allow the President of the Home of Legislation to put it on the agenda.

MP Pavle Trajanov, who yesterday filed the two laws in a regular parliamentary procedure, says that Parliament can dissolve, but no later than October 27.

“About the limited time, I can say that Parliament is talking more and more that the dissolution will not take place on October 12, but sometime October 27 the latest. The reason for this, is the submitted budget proposal for 2017, which, if parliament was to dissolve on October 12, it will not be able to pass the parliamentary procedure”, says Trajanov.

According to what the parties outlined in the Pržino Agreement, Parliament should be dissolved 45 to 60 days before election day. For now, the elections are expected to be held on December 11 of this year.
