The agreement with Bulgaria has became the new Tirana platform in VMRO-DPMNE’s narrative

-

After six months of constantly mentioning the declaration signed by the Albanian political parties, VMRO-DPMNE have stopped mentioning the so called Tirana platform, not even in Parliament, where it was their favorite subject. They do not mention it at regular official party conferences, press conferences or statements.

The last person to publicly speak and use the phrase the Tirana platform, was the leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Nikola Gruevski when he addressed Parliament, a few minutes before the new government was elected with Zoran Zaev as its leader, on May 31st. In his speech he welcomed the signing of the guarantees that the platform would not be realized, as Prime Minister-designate, Zoran Zaev presented it to President Gjorge Ivanov.

He did not say a word about the Tirana platform, nor in his address of seven pages during VMRO-DPMNE’s birthday on June 17th.

However, before May 31st, in each statement made by VMRO-DPMNE, and all their daily press conferences and official statements, the Tirana platform was the main topic of discussion, which from political circles went to social circles, and it seemed that everyone was talking just about the platform.

Now, their announcements and statements are focused on the agreement with Bulgaria, and, as they said are “the anti-reforms which are formed by SDSM”.
