The Ministry of Environment and Planning has announced a tender for acquiring a fence in order to fence off the illegal lindane dump in Pelenica.

The tender was initially announced for the end of 2018, and then for the end of January this year or on the 11th of March and it was finally announced on the 22nd of March.

The value of the tender which is open until the 2nd of April is 423.729 denars without VAT.

The specifications about the fence for the landslides where the toxic lindane is assumed was buried predict that it should be of 2 m height in length of 350 m in order to encompass the whole area.

In December last year, Meta Agency revealed that in the area Pelenica in Drachevo there is an illegal dump where thousands of tons of lindane toxic waste was buried and it was deposited by workers before the big and the small depot on the territory of the fabric Ohis were made.

The area of Pelenica is a location where schools regularly took children on excursions until the location was banned by the Ministry of Education and Science as soon as Meta published its articles about it.
