The Association of Licensed Taxi Drivers “Auto Taxi” in Gevgelija, this morning began a protest at the ban on them transporting migrants from Gevgelija to Kumanovo, the Ministry of the Interior has said. Members of the taxi drivers association, using its vehicles, and their drivers as a human barrier to block the railway bridge on railway line at Suva Reka. The Ministry of the Interior went on to say that the taxi drivers had not only blocked trains on the way to the center for migrants, but also passenger trains from Gevgelija. In a daily bulletin on the protest issued by the Ministry of the Interior it was stated that ” Such blockages could be a daily occurrence until the demands of the protesting taxi drivers had been met on the matter of transporting migrants between Kumanovo and Gevgelija.
