On tonight’s’ general plenum held at the Faculty of Architecture, representatives of “Student plenum” discussed their next steps regarding the amendments to the Law on Higher Education. Three proposals were on the agenda: to go to an official meeting with the Ministry of Education and Science and the Senate of the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius “, to “occupy” the universities, or the simultaneous application of both proposals. However, most of the students generally agreed to “occupy” the universities.
At the meeting in MES, “Student plenum” will demand withdrawal of the Law on Higher Education. If MES doesn’t accept their proposal, the representatives of “Student plenum” will leave the meeting and occupy universities. Some students believe that both proposals should be applied simultaneously, i.e. to go to a meeting with MES and UKIM, but also to occupy higher education institutions.
The meeting of the “Student plenum” ended without a final decision on future steps. Students agreed plenums of all faculties to decide separately and then to jointly review the adopted proposals to adopt a common position and plan.
