The strike committees from newspapers “Dnevnik”, “Utrinski Vesnik”, and “West” have decided to increase the duration of the strike up to 8 hours starting from today, said the Independent Union of Journalists and Media Workers (SSNM).
“The reason for this is after all the promises made by management, that they will make the effort to pay our salaries from January, salaries were not paid and there is no clear deadline for when it will happen, nor is there any precise information on what will happen to the company in the upcoming period”, stated SSNM.
The union have reported that the revolt by the employees is already far too high, and this is because of the deteriorating economic and social situation, and the ignorant attitude from the management.
