Stavreski: From the 5th of October, every pensioner will receive an increase of 621 denars

On the 5th of October every pensioner will receive there pension from September with an increase of 621 denars. From next year, funds have been allocated for a five percent increase for social financial aid, said Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Zoran Stavreski at a press conference accompanied by the Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Dime Spasov. According to the two, the rise in pensions and benefits are fully budgeted and foreseen for 2016.

Mr Stavreski explained that the increase in pensions will continue next year and in October 2016 every pensioner in the country will be paid 650 denars more.

“So far, the increase in the average pension from 2006, including October this year amounted to 70.3 percent. From 7,683 denars, which was the amount back in 2006, in October it will be 13,085 denars, while social benefits have increased by 61.8 percent. From 2006 – 2015 the continuous financial aid has increased by 60.5 percent, which is a significant increase”, explains Minister Spasov.
