Starting tomorrow, Taseva and Nikolov will monitor how the parties will spend the campaign funds

The president of “Transparency Macedonia” (TM) Slagjana Taseva, has announced that together with the Center for Economic Analyses, starting from tomorrow, will begin to monitor how the political parties will be spending their money during the pre-election period.

This project was announced in January when the early elections were set for April, but after its delay, the project was put on hold.

-The project was put on hold with the delay of the elections, but from tomorrow we shall be starting officially to monitor the political parties – replied Taseva to the question asked by Meta whether they will be monitoring the finances of the political parties.

TM’s president Taseva and Marjan Nikolov of the Center for Economic Analyses stressed that they will be monitoring the political parties’ media presentations, their expenditures including the spending of the budgets of the central and the local authorities during the pre-election and the election period.

The daily newspapers have announced today their tariffs for paid political presentation during the early parliamentary elections, in accordance o the legal obligation on part of the media to publish the tariff for advertising political parties during the election period.

For eg., an advertising of one page inside printed in black and white will cost 420-560 eur, and in color – 770 eur. The price for inserting additional material will range from 400 – 800 eur

He prices for a paid political presentation do not differ drastically compared to previous years.
