SPP: The Court decisions have been appealed – The investigation continues!

The Special Public Prosecutor’s office late last night through its official Facebook page announced that they had appealed the decision of the court, who yesterday decided not to take into to custody the eight suspects in Operation “Titanic”.

“The decisions of the Criminal Court in Skopje have been appealed. The investigation continues, “- said the SPP on their official Facebook page.

The Council of the Basic Court Skopje 1, comprised of three judges have to come to a decision within 48 hours regarding the SPP’s appeal.

The Special Public Prosecutor’s Office on Friday announced its first operation, called “Titanic” and requested the arrest of eight people, all suspected of electoral fraud. Among the suspects are former ministers Mile Janakieski and Gordana Jankuloska, the Mayor of Pustec Edmond Temelko and the former Secretary General Kiril Bozinovski.

Janakieski and Temelko and two more suspects on Friday appeared for questioning at the Basic Court Skopje 1, but were not taken into custody. Jankulovska and Bozinovski through their lawyers informed the court that due to travel reasons, could not immediately contact the court.
