SPO wants Judge Pop-Stefanija excluded, the Court has three days to decide

Judge Alexandra Pop-Stefanija stopped the questioning of suspects in the “Fortress” case, by the request of the Special Public Prosecution (SPO) for her exclusion from the case, said the Basic Court Skopje 1.

“The judge of the preliminary procedure, before completing the questioning of one of the summoned persons, received a proposal submitted by the Public Prosecution for offenses related to and arising from the content of the illegal interception of communications (SPO) for her exclusion from the case known to the public as “Fortress” by the prosecutor acting in the same case. Therefore, the judge adjourned the hearing of the summoned persons ”, the court statement said.

The request for exclusion, together with the case, Judge Pop-Stefanija will have to pass the request to the court president, who has three days to decide whether to withdraw the judge from the case or will reject the request.
