SPO on Ivanov’s decision: The annulment of the pardons has to apply to everyone

-

Today, the Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPO) did not want to make an official comment on the President’s decision to annul the pardons of 22 politicians, as the identity of the 22 politicians is still unknown, said the spokesperson for the SPO, prosecutor Lenche Ristoska to “Meta”.

“Our position on the matter is that there is no justification for a selective approach when it comes to the implementation of the rule of law and the administration of justice”, Lenche Ristoksa told us.

The SPO unofficially said that the decision to annul the pardons has to apply to everyone who was granted a pardon from the President, not some to be annulled and others not.

They also added that they still have not received an answer from Ivanov’s cabinet to the SPO’s question, how did the President acquire the information on the names of people who are under investigation.
