Today, prosecutors from the Special Prosecutor’s Office held a “working meeting of a higher level” with representatives from “Macedonian Telecom”, regarding the SPO’s request for a search warrant for the computer systems in their investigation into the mass wiretapping affair.
“At the premises of “Macedonian Telecom”, today we held a working meeting of a higher level with representatives of the company to come to an agreement on the cases the SPO are interested in. We expect full cooperation to continue in the upcoming period”, reads the statement by the SPO.
The Criminal Court in Skopje has so far, rejected four requests from the SPO for a search warrant for the computer systems from “Macedonian Telecom”. Because of this, the Special Prosecutor’s Office, some of the media has reported, are attempting to find a way to suspect the systems through representatives of the company.
Otherwise, the SPO want a search warrant for “Macedonian Telecom” regarding the “Target” case, where they are trying to establish who was part of the illegal wiretapping of communications.
