Spasovski: The Government will seek an international investigation for “Divo Naselje”

The government will seek an additional – international investigation regarding the events in” Divo Naselje” for 9th and 10th of May 2015, in order to find out the truth about this event, Minister of Interior, Oliver Spasovski said at the Gjorche Petrov military post, where a handover donation from Slovakia for the border police was carried out.

“Regarding the Kumanovo events, I will say two things, the first thing is that this case gets some kind of judicial resolution, but, we have undertaken an obligation to make an additional and that is international investigation, in order the public to know the truth about this event and what happened in the part of the Kumanovo events and in accordance with that investigation we have a procedure in which the majority of citizens of the Republic of Macedonia will believe”, said Spasovski.

Anyway, the trial for “Divo Naselje” case is in its final phase and a verdict is expected soon for 37 persons charged with terrorism and a terrorist organization.

In the events in Kumanovo, eight members of the security forces were killed and about 40 were injured. The whole case has been followed by many controversies that have not been clarified yet.
