Former Bulgarian Foreign Minister Solomon Passy, on national television BNT, confirmed that for the minimum sum, he was advisor to the current Prime Minister of Macedonia, Nikola Gruevski, in the period from 2007 to 2008.
– The deal was for one euro. I’ve done my job for about 10 months and it was decided that Macedonia will join NATO – said Passy.
According to Passy, the East and the West are now in battle for Macedonia.
– The West is not doing enough for the accession of Macedonia to NATO and the EU. Bulgaria does not have a key role in this process. We can coordinate to do something, but nothing can happen without the goodwill of Macedonia – he said.
Passy, commenting on the statement of the head of Russian diplomacy, said that Bulgaria has no territorial pretensions towards Macedonia.
– Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, is serious and much of a diplomat and his statement is not accidental. Such statements are part of the information warfare waged at present and they should not be underestimated – said Passy.
