Many senior citizens of Skopje, mainly pensioners have come to Ohrid to escape the stress of the series of earthquakes that struck Skopje and the epicenter areas on the outskirts of the capital, which have yet to show any signs of stopping.
Everything works, mainly owners of holiday homes and vacation apartments, who usually go on summer vacation at the end of the summer season and the beginning of the school year.
This September they have returned to Ohrid, and it can be seen in the lanes, cafes, weekend resorts and in the village of Velestovo situated just above the lake.
For the residents of Ohrid, the new wave of visitors works in their favour with the weather almost as good, as summer daytime temperatures, and the water is still warm.
