Thirty patients with fractures due to the snow sought help in the Surgical Clinic “St. Naum Ohridski” and in the City Hospital “8th of September”, reports “Zdravstvo24”.
“St. Naum Ohridski” had 13 patients with injuries, mostly forearm fractured, from yesterday afternoon until this morning. Also, there was a hospitalization of a patient with a fractured knee. “8th of September” also received ten patients with fractures. Doctors appeal for careful movement, especially after the announcements of NHS for temperatures of up to -15 degrees Celsius, which would lead to icing.
In order to respond to calls from mountain villages, Skopje ambulance yesterday put the field jeep into function. Sanitation vehicles cannot reach high places. Yesterday they had 22 calls and not a single delay. The only problem they had was with a call from village Sushica, where the vehicle could not pass due to inhospitable terrain. But the patient was taken down to Petrovec and the ambulance took him from there.
