All other topics on hold until the new Special Prosecutor is appointed

Sources from inside the negotiating teams have told ‘Meta’ correspondents that political parties working groups who are discussing electoral laws and rules from the Przhino Agreement are now to focus all their energy on the issue of the Special Public Prosecutor which is to be appointed on the 15th of September.

The parties have agreed to give priority to the issue, as the deadline gets closer. Therefore, it was agreed until the 15th of September to meet daily and if necessary during the weekend, to meet the deadline everyone has agreed to.

According to information received, there has been a slight shift in the negotiations regarding the special prosecutor and he will likely be elected under existing law, but under his own amendment.

Also, it is likely he is elected from amongst the existing prosecutors.

In connection with election laws, we learn that there has been little progress over the active registration of voters, and compulsory registration to the electoral roll. Our sources say that VMRO-DPMNE have agreed to the active voter registration but still do not know whether it will be mandatory or not.
