Announcements of Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski to refresh his government team, conveyed on the Congress of VMRO-DPMNE, which took place in Kumanovo in the last two days, according to SDSM spokesman Petre Shilegov, are actions that are “not related to the political crisis,” but serve Gruevski “for internal use only”.
– What Nikola Gruevski said on their so-called Congress is for internal use only in order to strengthen his position in VMRO-DPMNE and it is not and cannot apply to political, i.e. state crisis in the country – said Shilegov today.
Shilegov gave an identical answer regarding the five items that Gruevski offered at the congress as benchmarks around which the government and the opposition should have a consensus. He said that, unlike the five items of SDSM, which, according to him, is a real basis for resolving the political crisis, Gruevski items are only for “inner party use”.
– Our items are supported not only by SDSM, but also by the whole free-minded public and the relevant international political institutions and Western countries, i.e. major forces. Therefore, we think that these are the only items that will offer a real possibility the state to dignifiedly overcome this political crisis. What Nikola Gruevski indicates and presents as his alleged conditions or desires to overcome the political crisis, is only for internal party use – said Shilegov.
