The election of the members of the State Election Commission does not mean that everything is completely ready for fair elections in April next year, said today at a press conference MP from SDSM, Petre Shilegov. According to him, the SEC has many more obligations under the law, and at the moment does not even have the necessary equipment to undertake the voter lists.
“The SEC has a huge number of commitments that have yet to be realized so we can not say it is currently an operational authority to organize elections. This is due to the fact that many were so many delays and unmet deadlines which was agreed upon in the Przhino Agreement and refers to the State Election Commission”, said Shilegov.
Asked if this could be a basis for postponing the elections, Shilegov said they could not draw any conclusions and added that “SDSM will not allow someone to steal the elections,” without specifying what he exactly meant by that comment.
