We are happy that with so much effort, sincere dedication to citizens and Macedonia, we managed to save the European Commission’s recommendation for Macedonia, said at today’s press conference the Deputy Leader of the SDSM, Radmila Sekerinska.
“The recommendation, unfortunately, after 10 years of being in a candidate status, the recommendation is conditional and it is because of the frivolous work of the current Government . It is good that the “Truth about Macedonia” reached Brussels. Senior members of the Government abused their power in all spheres – the judicial system, the media, the electoral process and regulatory bodies. There was selective justice, widespread corruption, threats against journalists and serious concern for editorial policy of the public broadcaster MRTV”, Sekerinska said.
She added that the implementation of the Przhino Agreement was no longer pending only for the citizens of Macedonia, but was now a condition for the European Commission to preserves the recommendation.
“Today Brussels said that Europe wants Macedonia to have European values. VMRO-DPMNE does not want that sort of Macedonia. SDSM will continue to work on the normalization of the country, together with you, the citizens. We are determined, to return to Macedonia its freedom and on its path to Europe”, Sekerinska said.
