Session on which MPs will discuss constitutional amendments will continue on Friday. After completing the debate on amendment 37 of the Constitution which defines the maximum of the budget deficit and public debt, Speaker of the Assembly Veljanoski adjourned.
MPs discussed the amendment regulating the state budget deficit of Macedonia, i.e. the restriction of three percent, while the public debt cannot exceed 60 percent of GDP. MPs from VMRO-DPMNE believe this change is good because it will prevent the scenario of some foreign countries which were too indebted. According to Pavle Trajanov, Macedonia should be very cautious when lending.
MPs also established the draft amendment that marriage is a union solely between one man and one woman, international financial zones and the renaming of the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia in the Bank of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as the draft amendment with which the State Audit Office becomes a constitutional category.
