Koce Trajanovski and VMRO-DPMNE do not work for the interest of the citizens, and that’s us only one solution: the resignation of Koce Trajanovski and new elections for the Mayor of Skopje, said Damijan Mancevski, SDSM Vice President and Coordinator of the Group of SDSM and coalition partners of the City Council at today’s press conference.
“Nikola Gruevski and Koce Trajanovski want to continue the budget for 2016, as before. Only for new baroque facades, Koce Trajanovski plans to spend new 5.7 million euros. For new squares and fountains an additional 3 million euros. The mere maintenance of fountains and monuments still costs 500,000 euros. To City Hall next year will spend another 2.6 million euros. On top of all craziness, audacious and luxuriousness behaviour for 500,000 euros accessible areas around the glamorous party headquarters of VMRO-DPMNE. The priority for Koce Trajanovski is the party headquarters of VMRO-DPMNE, not the construction of utility or infrastructure throughout Skopje because for the whole year 750,000 euros is provided for that’s purpose. For Koce Trajanov the party has always been and always will be more important than the citizens of Skopje”, Manchevski said.
He said that the SDSM and their coalition believe that this budget is absolutely unacceptable through an amendment calling for more money for reconstruction of school buildings, the overpasses and pedestrian bridges, construction and reconstruction of bicycle paths, bicycle contributions for citizens, measures to reduce air pollution, more parks and green areas, gasification of secondary schools, free public transport for students every day, free healthy meals for students in secondary schools, and the clean up of dump-sites.
