The opposition SDSM again has called upon portals “Republika”, “Kurir” and radio station “Slobodna Makedonija” to explain how they are funded.

The party stated that the portal “Republika” earned an income of more than 1.1 million euros, while “Kurir” had an income of 1.3 million euros, and radio “Slobodna Makedonija” in 2013 with just one employee had an income 242,000 euros.

“After weeks of silence, there has been no answers concerning the financing of the pro-government media. “Republika” and other media couriers, while their editor Nikola Gruevski is on his way out, will not say where the millions in their accounts come from. Why does “Republika” and “Kurir” stay silent over the millions of their revenue? Nikola Gruevski and his family through media propaganda couriers are trying to conceal the crime and corruption from the last 10 years, ” said a statement from SDSM.
The party stated that transparency, impartiality and objectivity are key attributes for professional and ethical journalistic standards, and that the public expects answers for the way these media outlets have been financed, because in three years they have made three million euros in revenue!
