SDSM has submitted a draft law on abolition of external testing

-

Coordinator of the Parliamentary Group of SDSM Assembly Goran Sugareski, today at a press conference said that their parliamentary group submitted proposals to amend and supplement five laws. He explained, the three proposals related to external testing, one is to abolish it, one is to increase the minimum wage from 9,500 to 11,000 denars and one to control the spending of public money.

“External testing instead of improving the educational system it has made it drastically worse. For children and for teachers. Children suffer unnecessary stress and panic that can affect their future health. The total amount of money needed to be spent on increasing the minimum wage costs the same amount as the proposed Ferris wheel and therefore should not be a problem. To control the spending of public money, we’ve requested an amendment to the budget law, which will foresee provisions that citizens are informed about how their money is spent, because the way the law is now, it is open to abuse and allows corrupt behaviour by the government. The proposals have already been submitted and we expect all MPs to support it”, stated Mr  Sugareski.
