SDSM Have Changed Their Rhetoric: “Gruevski, the Suspect” is now “Gruevski, the Accused”

-

After the announcement that the Special Public Prosecution filed two indictments to the Basic Court Skopje 1, the first indictment for the illegal destruction of documents related to the illegal equipment for wiretapping and the second indictment for violence outside the Municipality of the Centre, the opposition SDSM have changed their rhetoric when referring to the former Prime Minister, Nikola Gruevski.

In statements the SDSM sent to the media and at their member’s press conferences, the SDSM no longer say “the suspect, Gruevski” but “the accused, Gruevski”.

In yesterday’s response by the SDSM concerning Gruevski’s absence at the hearing of the”Putsch” case, the SDSM wrote “The accused, Nikola Gruevski can dictate how much he wants through statements by the of VMRO-DPMNE and to the leadership of the Basic Court Skopje 1, to justify his absence from the trial against Zoran Zaev, which was ordered at his request”.

Today at a press conference, SDSM party spokesman Peter Shilegov, talking about the project “Macedonia Employs” said, “Is this the alleged project ‘Macedonia employs’ by the accused Nikola Gruevski, who implements his power through this agency? If the employment agency hires workers ‘off the books’, what happens in the other state institutions?”

Although the SPO did not disclose the names of the defendants in both cases, from the conversations which can be heard from the opposition’s ‘bombs’, one can conclude that in the indictment for the violence which occurred outside the Municipality of the Centre, the first defendant is the former Prime Minister and the current leader of the VMRO-DPMNE, Nikola Gruevski, and the second defendant, the former Minister of Transport and Communications, Mile Janakieski.

“It’s regarding the telephone conversation between two members of the executive government, which were made on June 1, 2013, at 20:50pm and lasts a duration of 4 minutes and 4 seconds. The conversation took place following a scheduled meeting of the Municipal Council Centre, where such issues on the agenda were the halts called on several urban development plans, including one for Mal Ring. The first accused in June asked the other defendants to urge party members to violently rough up the Mayor of the Centre and councilors of the Municipality of the Centre who belong to the opposite political camp”, said Fetai, adding the first accused motives were of a lucrative nature, and to protect his business interests.
