Social Democrats from Bitola sent a long list to the SDSM headquarters in Skopje of 104 potential candidates for MPs in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The proposals were sent directly from local organizations, and members were even given the option to nominate themselves as candidates.
Among the most recognizable names of possible candidates for MPs is the vice president of the party and the current additional Deputy Minister of Information Society and Administration, Aleksander Kiracovski, and others on the list include yesterday’s MPs Julijana Siljanovska and Vasko Kovachevski, Head of the Electoral Headquarters of SDSM in Bitola, Metodija Tasevski, councilors Blagojce Kotevski, Goran Kozarov and Zoran Stojcevski, the President of the Commission for Health of the SDSM and gynecologist Goce Cakarovski, and lawyer Vasko Talevski.
According to the procedure, after the SDSM Congress at the end of this month, it will then be known which of the proposed names for eventual MPs will be on the list for the fifth constituency.
“The SDSM, as a democratic party, has introduced democratic procedures for nominations and the selection of candidates for deputies in the upcoming parliamentary elections. Then the central leadership will decide who will be on the list of candidates for MPs”, said Aleksander Kiracovski to “Meta”.
