The expulsion of the Russian diplomat is not only a consequence of solidarirty over the Skripal case, but it is believed he was also involved in activites on behalf of Russian intelligence, to install Russian agents among the higher ranks in the Government, reports “Television 24”, quoting “senior sources within the Macedonian police”.
Yesterday, the Macedonian Foreign Ministry decided to expel a Russian diplomat, in an act of solidarity over the Skripal case in coordination with 14 other countries.
“Today, we informed the Russian authorities of our decision to expel a Russian diplomat, following close consultation with our partners and allies, in solidarity with the United Kingdom, and in order to protect our own security interests in Macedonia”, Macedonian Foreign Minister, Nikola Dimitrov tweeted yesterday.
“The Government has decided to expel a Russian diplomat. Full responsibility and the consequences over this provocation and hostile act which is unprecedented in Russian-Macedonian relations, will be borne by the Macedonian side”, announced the Russian Embassy.
