Ruskoska: Interpol refuses to issue arrest warrants for Gruevski and Boshkovski

-

Interpol’s central refuses to release the international arrest warrant for the former prime minister Nikola Gruevski who was granted asylum in Hungary said Vilma Ruskoska before the start of the Conference on the advancement in the fight against organized crime and corruption.

“The last information received from Interpol Macedonia is that the Interpol’s central refuses to issue the arrest warrant and doesn’t provide any explanation why,” said Ruskoska.

She said that through the case that is led against the organizers of the attacks on the Parliament that occurred on the 27th of April 2017, she has sent a request through the police for issuing domestic and international arrest warrants.

Interpol also didn’t want to issue an international arrest warrant for the former UBK chief, Nikola Boshkoski who fled to Greece.

“The requests for five other persons who were out of reach in the first case were sent together with the order for an investigation and a decision for detention and evidence, and Interpol received them without any problems and issued the warrants. But, for Gruevski and Boshkovski they still don’t want to issue the warrants even though it’s about the same felony” said Ruskoska.

She said that she doesn’t know the reason why Interpol refuses to issue the warrants even though the request was submitted over two months ago.
