Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov met with Philip Reeker, the Civilian Deputy and Political Adviser to the European Command of the US Military Forces, where they exchanged views on the current situation in the country and the region.
Dimitrov congratulated Reeker on his appointment as Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs and wished him success in his performance at his new post.
“Your appointment of this extremely responsible function is good news for the region, Europe and the transatlantic community,” said Dimitrov.
Ambassador Reeker congratulated the Republic of North Macedonia for the agreement reached with Greece, which ended the name dispute and opened the doors to a well-deserved place in NATO.
“Everyone in the United States are aware and recognize the success you have achieved with the Prespa Agreement”, said Reeker, noting that the United States will continue to actively support the region on its path to EU and NATO integration.
