The European Commission and the three MEPs Richard Howitt, Eduard Kukan and Ivo Vajgl, with a joint statement welcomed the agreement and sent a message that “they will closely monitor the implementation in the coming months”.
In September we will hold another high-level dialogue (HLAD), a platform established by the previous Commissioner for Enlargement, Stefan Fule, and in it we will gather the signatories of the agreement and civil society informed Kukan, Vajgl and Howitt.
The agreement was also welcomed by the Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak, who is one of the most active ministers of the EU in the Balkans and a good connoisseur of the region, former European representative for Kosovo.

Congratulations came also from the former Foreign Minister of Sweden Carl Bildt, who tweeted that the agreement “should facilitate the integration of Macedonia “.
The Council for Stabilization and Association Agreement between the EU and Macedonia will be held next week, and a new meeting of foreign ministers of EU in Brussels, which is also expected to welcome the reached agreement.
