JSP Skopje will receive new single and double buses produced by German company MAN. The Croatian company “Auto Hrvatska” is the official distributor for buses such as: MAN, Otokar and Neoplan, and is the winner at the tender for acquisition of CNG buses that use compressed gas.
JSP – Skopje didn’t want to reveal more details about the tender, nor the number of purchased buses even though the city’ authorities once mentioned 30-40 vehicles. The signing of the agreement will occur next week. It’s then that more details about the procurement will be revealed.
On basis of information published by the tender, the buses will be delivered during the first half of 2020. The buses will use EURO 6 engines which will help reduce the emission of gasses by city buses to minimum.
The buses will be air conditioned and will be able to transport disabled persons. There will also be double buses that will have an increased capacity for more passengers that will help decrease the throng during rush hours.
The new buses were acquired with a loan in the amount of 10 million euros from EBRD which is aimed at improvement of the services of the public transportation.
