Public Prosecutors and Judges will receive a higher salary for overtime and work on national holidays with an increase of 35 to 50 percent. This was stipulated by the draft laws on amendments and supplements on the Law on salaries for Public Prosecutors and Judges, which is already going through parliamentary procedure, through a shortened procedure.
The two bills proposed to the Government were by representatives, the Justice Minister Adnan Jashari and his deputy, Biljana Brishkovska-Bosjkovski.
The draft-bill for salaries for Public Prosecutors, as stated in the materials of the Parliament, is estimated at 20 million denars per year, or around 325,000 euros, while the draft law on salaries for the judges is not specified with a specific amount and it only states that ” the implementation of the draft-bill requires additional funding in the judicial budget in the amount specified in the form of fiscal implications. ”
According to the materials which can be found on the website of the Parliament, the proposed amendments on the two laws are identical in content, the difference is the members.
