Citizens of Ohrid will beautify both their squares: the central one, St. Kliment Ohridski, and the small square, Krushevo Republic, at the old Ohrid plane tree. With that purpose, the Municipality of Ohrid already announced a competition for the selection of an architectural solution for urban and horticultural arrangement which is open until 22nd of December.
The arrangement of the two squares will contribute to creating squares with ambient style, which will enable more efficient organization of events and walks of citizens and tourists.
The need for arrangement is an indicator of the level of development of the urban culture of the population, but also a need to supplement the content that will create beautiful modern corners and offer which will attract domestic and foreign visitors throughout the year, explain representatives of the local self-government in Ohrid.
The organizers explain that despite the appeal, quality content to create a modern urban corner and offer which would attract domestic and foreign visitors throughout the year are still lacking.
The purpose of this competition is preparation of an architectural solution that will provide a harmonized integral solution for an urban square, reads the public announcement.
Organizers announced rewards as well. First prize for the best solution is in the amount of 80,000 denars, second – 25,000 denars, and the third – 20,000 denars. Prizes will also represent a purchase of copyright and compensation of the authors in general.
