This morning, Macedonian portals had connection problems after their internet was down due to problems from the provider “UNET”, however, they were back online by 13:00pm.
Aneta Peseva, the General Manager at “UNET” stated for “Meta” that on Monday they will have more detailed information about the technical reasons as to why the problems occurred.
“During the early hours of the morning, Macedonian hosting provider “UNET cloud” had technical problems with major telecommunication links. As to what caused the problem, we will inform our customers and will do everything in our power to prevent such situations from occurring in the future”, said an official announcement from the company “UNET”.
This morning, access to websites such as, “fokus.mk”, “novatv.mk”, “Libertas.mk”, “sdk.mk”, “lokalno.mk”, “plusinfo.mk”, “mkd.mk” and electronic editions of daily newspapers “Utrinski vesnik”, “Dnevnik” and “Vecer” were disabled.
The Director of “UNET”, Antoni Peshev categorically claimed to “Meta” that the incident had nothing to do with a hack attack but was due to classic technical problems.
