Poposki: Preparation for the elections leaves no room for any excuses in terms of the results

-

At today’s Ministerial Council between the member countries of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Macedonian Foreign Minister, Nikola Poposki, stressed that terrorism, violent extremism, radicalization and the migrant crisis poses serious security challenges in the OSCE region.

“Macedonia is an active partner in the international anti-terrorist coalition and will continue to contribute to efforts to combat terrorism, violent extremism and radicalization”, said Poposki.

While speaking on the migrant crisis, he noted that with Austria assuming the Presidency of the OSCE, the move is significant for Macedonia because of the focus on the management of the migrant crisis.

“You are all aware of Macedonia’s efforts in tackling the crisis. Due to the uncertainty of this challenge, once again, I call for unity and cooperation in dealing with all aspects of managing this challenge”, said Poposki from the sidelines of the Ministerial Council after he had several bilateral meetings.

Regarding the early parliamentary elections in Macedonia, scheduled for Sunday, December 11, Poposki said that the feeling among Macedonia’s partners in the OSCE is that “all measures have been taken in recent months to prepare the electoral process, and this leaves no room for any excuses in terms of the results”.
