Poposki: The Court Will Decide Who Will End Up in Jail

-

We should respect the presumption of innocence and leave legal institutions to decide whether someone is innocent or not, said the vice-prime minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Poposki, VMRO-DPMNE’s list carrier in the first electoral district, in the Radio Slobodna Evropa’s weekly interview when he replied to a question how will crime suspects from his party can promise an uncompromising fight against crime.

-For questions regarding who will end up in jail, the only institution that is legitimate and authorized to answer that is the judiciary in Macedonia and I think that for that question it is best that the judiciary within the legal procedures will decide who will en up where. We think that as a government we have the responsibility to bring laws and we try to implement those laws, something we have been doing continuously in the past period. If you start from there, you have an alternative between a political option, the main opposition party, that is saying the same thing in conditions where it uses abolitions and does not cooperate with the judiciary – said Poposki

The Minister for external affairs said that to all political powers in Macedonia its aims are NATO and EU and that Macedonia should not be worried about the interests of “those from the outside” but its own.
