Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dačić knew very well in what country he came, said Macedonian Foreign Minister, Nikola Poposki when he replied to the question as to whether Dačić knew which country he was visiting.
-Yes, he knew very well where he arrived and is not the only one in Serbia who knows what this country’s name is. I will invite them to come and visit Macedonia because Macedonia has a lot to offer to be seen – said Poposki.
When asked whether he had asked Dačić to give further explanation about his statements, Poposki said that his reply didn’t differ from previous statements.
-The explanation wasn’t anything new, but we understand the sensitivity they have especially before the vote for the entrance of Kosovo into UNESCO. Still, we are determined to continue with the regional cooperation and to deepen it – said Poposki.
In an interview Dačić gave around New Year, he said that the Serbs were fools for recognizing Macedonia under its constitutional name and that in further multilateral relations Serbia is going to be using the FYROM acronym.
