At a coordinative meeting, the party leaders will be discussing the initial framework for solving the name dispute, that was proposed by mediator Matthew Nimetz.
The meeting that was officially announced yesterday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will take place at the Club of MPs starting at 18h.
The meeting will be attended by the country’s President, Gjorge Ivanov Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov, the President of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski and the President of DUI, Ali Ahmeti.
MFA announced that when the meeting is over there will not be a press conference nor issuing statements for the media.
The UN mediator in the name dispute negotiations, Nimetz, on the 17th of January, after the meeting with the Macedonian and Greek negotiators, Vasko Naumovski and Adamantios Vassilakis at UN’s headquarters announced that he has great hopes that this process will head in a positive direction and that the solution for the name dispute can be seen from afar.
On invitation by the governments of Macedonia and Greece, Nimetz will be visiting Athens and Skopje in the period between 29th of January and the 1st of February.
He will arrive in Skopje on the 31st of January, and the next day he shall have meetings with country’s leadership.
